Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The mother of her child, Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam as well, and she has Chinese origin, and her father, Winston Barrett Munn, comes from a family that has strong roots in The American South. The couple split when she was only two years old. Her mother raised her along with her stepfather, who is an United States Air Force officer. The family emigrated to Oklahoma and moved to various locations, however she spent most of her childhood in Tokyo. At the time, she was a part of several stage productions. Then she was an Japanese model. Olivia was able to move from Japan to Los Angeles when her family had came back in her home in the United States to follow her ambition to become an actor. After playing a couple of roles, her career took another promising step after she secured the part of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006) and also the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist Big Stan (2007). The G4 podcasts include "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". The sport of surfing is a passion for her and she has been practicing it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). Her black belt is in the martial art of taekwondo. The woman she married was her mother when she was only two years old, to an Air Force officer. Although the family moved a often, the mother of her child took her to Tokyo which she shared in the military. She attended her studies at University of Oklahoma, where she majored in journalism and minored in Japanese and dramatic arts.
