She was born Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986. Pickler was a difficult childhood. As a toddler, her mother retreated from due to an abusive relationship. Pickler was reunited with her mother in 1995, when she became the custody holder. But it didn't go as was planned. In the year Pickler was 12, the court returned her to her grandparents which raised her to adulthood. Pickler was, in the absence of her parents and older siblings, became too distracted studying. The mother of three said that since she was not able to devote time to study, she decided to learn how to cook and wash at a young time. Pickler played cheerleading in the middle and high school she attended. North Stanly High School, which she graduated from in 2004 it was her high school.
